Good Things

1. Esse Reusable Bags
I just received a Quick Pak, one Everyday Bag and two extra Produce Bags.  Love.
The everyday bags are soft and durable with long handles that fit nicely over your shoulder.  And they hold 40 pounds of junk!  Or groceries.  Or the stuff in your house that has no permanent home and needs to be hidden in the trunk of your car while your real estate agent holds an open house.
My family might just be receiving Quick Paks for Christmas...Shhhhhhh...don't tell them.

2. Blogging for Books
What was that WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group?  You want to give me FREE books?  You want me to provide my honest opinion of said book on my existing blog?  You want to reward quality written reviews with prizes?
Yes. And. Please.
My favorite author's newest book is in the mail.  And because Matt was such a fan of Radical, David Platt's follow up: Radical Together, is next on my list.  So every once in a while you'll get to sit through me waxing poetic about the newest, best, super terrific (or lamest, worst, boringest) book I've ever read.  I might even give one away every once in a while.  But only if you're good.

3. Julbo Sunglasses
So here's something I never really thought about before:  Babies need sunglasses too.  Children's eyes are more susceptible to sun damage because the lenses in their eyes don't block very much UV light.  Yeah, I could put a hat on him but that doesn't really help with the brightness or the glare of the sun off the clouds.  I could also put the stroller canopy down in front of him to block the sun but then he's just staring at the inside of our Chicco stroller and that's kind of a sucky view.  So I started planning my walks so that Baby Mange was never facing into the sun.  Also lame.  And when it comes right down to it, I don't leave the house without my sunglasses and almost always have them on when I'm driving so it's not very fair for me to expect Baby to go without.  My friend Kristen turned me on to Julbo's line of sunglasses for kids and babies.  Because they are little bit more expensive than some of the other alternatives out there, I had originally dismissed the idea of purchasing a pair for Baby Mange.  Well, I'll spare you the story because it's not interesting, but one thing led to another and I did in fact end up buying Baby Mange a pair of blue/gray Looping 1 glasses.  The quality, design and outstanding customer service I received is enough to make me a customer for life.
Oh, and they're super cute.
