We always had in our diaper bag: 5 diapers, wipes, socks, pacifier, 2-3 burp cloths, 1 blanket, nursing cover, 1 long-sleeved white onesie, 2 shirts, and 2 pairs of pants. Oh, and diaper rash cream. We never needed more than that, and we'd always leave the diaper bag somewhere inconvenient when we got home so we'd remember to refill it.
Good luck with your BHAG!
Wow. Today? Yikes.
I'm impressed with Michelle. Once I went to Lewiston and needed to change 9 month old? Mikayla's diaper and didn't have ANY in the "diaper" bag. We duct taped 2 of my friends newborn diapers together until we could get some.
Yes, we did.
wv: "retropan" Like the one my Mom uses to make fudge in? It's pretty old...
Don't be too impressed. Honestly we put so much stuff in the diaper bag so that if we did forget to refill it, it wouldn't be a big deal. If it was getting low on supplies, then we'd leave it directly in front of the door upon walking in so we'd remember it needed something before leaving again! Nowadays we just carry 2 diapers, some wipes, and a burp cloth (to lay her on) in a diaper...carry...thingy? It holds it all in one thing that seals with velcro. I wasn't a fan at first but now I love it.
It sounds stupid, but I am a much better baby wearer when I wear a scoop neck shirt instead of a v neck. Normally, I always go for the v neck, but when he is breathing on my chest (after he falls asleep) I start getting squirmy because it bugs me after a while. If there is a nice soft layer between us, I am much more patient! Good luck with all your stuff. You can do it!
