Matt's surgery has been moved to Friday the 15th at 11:30 am. Pray for a routine surgery, and a fast recovery because seminary starts up again on the 25th. And I know this seems weird but please pray that we have a slow day at work. I'll be out of the office, Sarah is on vacation, and two of my employers will be out of the office most of the day. I don't like leaving the clients to fend for themselves...
I was reading through Matt's "Understanding Laparascopic Gallbladder Surgery" Pamphlet and it mentions that one of the symptoms of gallstones can be back pain. Well, those of you who have spent any amount of time around Matt know that his back is in constant pain. Funny thing is that the surgeon said that based on the size of the gallstone, it's like that he's had it growing in there for 7-8 years. Now a lot of the pain has been there since he was a kid and some is from our car accident, but it has increased significantly over the past four or five years. And this sounds stupid but I think I remember praying for Matt's back pain to go away a few weeks ago. Why would it be stupid for a wife to pray for her husband's health? Well, it's stupid because I'm always sending up little prayers for Matt to feel better (selfishly of course, because it's a total drag on my quality of life) so I've lost track of when and where I've asked for this particular mercy but if I recall correctly I really really really meant it a few weeks ago when I asked for him to feel better. Not that I didn't mean it before...but, well...I guess I just put a little more oomph into this time. So wouldn't that be great if some of his back pain was related to this stupid little marble-sized build up of body substances?
