Super Score at the Stores

Woo Hoo!  I got all kinds of goodies today and only paid full price for the giant block of cheese.  Here's my score:
  • Huggies Wipes for  $8.25 (I know this isn't as cheap as some of the generic wipes but we like the Huggies so I thought I'd take advantage of a sale and a coupon.  I'll go generic next time.)
  • 2 Candy Bars (2/$1 with BOGO coupon = $0.50)
  • Gerber Formula ($0.05 after $10.50 voucher)
  • 3 Bottles of Excedrin (FREE! w/manufacturer coupon)
  • Size 3 infant shoes ($0.30 on clearance rack)
  • Infant Baseball Cap ($1.56 on clearance rack)
  • 40 size 2 Organic Diapers ($3.50)
  • Purple Tote (FREE!)
  • Medela Electric Breast Pump ($224 after coupons)
Babies R Us is running a promotion where you get an additional 40% off all the clearance clothes you can fit into the purple tote bag.  I only found two things I was willing to shell out money for.  A hat for $2.60 and a pair of shoes for $0.50.

The breast pump is a big purchase so $224 might not sound like a good deal but they're usually $280 so I saved $56 (20%).  You can buy them used on Craigslist super cheap but I felt more comfortable buying a new one.  Who knows how many times someone dropped their pump motor or when an older one would give out.

So in all, I saved $74.30.  If you don't include the pump, I got $56.19 worth of stuff for $15.25.
