The family is gone and there are only a few dirty dishes in the sink and about 75 pounds of food in the refrigerator to prove that they were even here. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year. I learned how to cook with the help of my dad and all of the girls went shopping the day after Thanksgiving.
Today, we're in recovery mode. Matt is making up for the two lost days of Warcraft playing time he missed while entertaining the folks. I'm making up for two lost days of sitting on my butt by...sitting on my butt. My Christmas shopping is done, my Christmas cards are almost done and all I have left to do is wrap gifts and bake cookies for our girls at church. In the mean time, I'm going to watch North & South (Gaskell not Swayze) read Pride & Prejudice, yell at the TV when I hear them talk about why the midwest and the south east have the most feared programs in college football and at some point throw in a load of laundry.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some movies to watch...

Jackie you're killing me! how can your xmas presents be all done and your xmas cards be practically finished!? Oy. I have yet to start most of that!
Glad to hear the long weekend was nice - with lots of rewarding relaxing -- much deserved!!! Say hi to the Northwest for me - miss it so much!

Ok - i totaly love that you have Bear linked on your sidebar. he is quite possibly the awesomest coolest daredevilist man ever. i think he quite cool.
Ok - maybe now i should actually go and do some work, since you know, i am at work and everything..
your christmas shopping is DONE?? holy cow. have i started? nope.
OMG Jackie! Matt plays Warcraft? If by that you mean World of Warcraft, give me a server and character name and I'll come say hi sometime. I could even try to be civil if he happens to play Alliance. Or even worse, if he's a gnome. Please don't tell me he's a gnome warrior. If he doesn't want his info published here, email me instead.
PS - This is Blake -- hell hasn't frozen over and on a related note, Jenny doesn't play video games.
Blake! First, I almost dropped a four letter word when I saw that you actually posted a comment. I haven't heard from you in forever.
Second, you are too funny! I didn't know there was any other kind of Warcraft. Matt has many characters, I'm sure he has the dreaded gnome warrior but I'm not sure how high on the play list he is. I'll find all of the pertinent information for you and pass it along.
Third, Hell briefly froze over at home. I have a level 5...something...to be honest, I had no idea what I was doing (big surprise). Killing chipmunks or ducks or some other woodland creature...
Tell Matt he needs to get out of the house more and stop playing those ridiculous games!!
Hi Jackie! (and Matt!) I'm so glad you have a blog too. Ours kind of even look alike. :) Can I put a link to you on mine?
